The SideWalk Centre is a place where we serve and empower our local community through a range of diverse services, programs and events, to support the physical, mental and emotional wellness of our neighbours. We aim to walk alongside our neighbours, sharing in meaningful interactions that show each community member, regardless of age, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, ethnicity or gender, that they are cared for and loved.
The SideWalk Centre is an initiative of All Saints Anglican Church. Why “SideWalk"? It made sense that we are connected by many sidewalks or pathways in our community and that sidewalks allow us to move and travel from point A to point B.
By definition, sidewalk is a ‘path for pedestrians’. Along the sidewalk, we also have opportunities to meet other people and interact with them… often when we least expect too. “SideWalk” reflects what we need to do with our neighbours… walk ‘side by side’ ---- with that in mind, the word “SideWalk” takes on a whole new meaning. Walking along side our neighbours on their journey, and meeting their needs along the path. Side by Side, walking together and through many interaction and caering for our neighbourhood.
